anyone lived in a pretty how town
(with up so floating many bells down)
spring summer autumn winter
he sang his didn't he danced his did

Women and men(both little and small)
cared for anyone not at all
they sowed their isn't they reaped their same
sun moon stars rain

children guessed(but only a few
and down they forgot as up they grew
autumn winter spring summer)
that noone loved him more by more

when by now and tree by leaf
she laughed his joy she cried his grief
bird by snow and stir by still
anyone's any was all to her
someones married their everyones
laughed their cryings and did their dance
(sleep wake hope and then)they
said their nevers they slept their dream

stars rain sun moon
(and only the snow can begin to explain
how children are apt to forget to remember
with up so floating many bells down)

one day anyone died i guess
(and noone stooped to kiss his face)
busy folk buried them side by side
little by little and was by was

all by all and deep by deep
and more by more they dream their sleep
noone and anyone earth by april
wish by spirit and if by yes.

Women and men(both dong and ding)
summer autumn winter spring
reaped their sowing and went their came
sun moon stars rain

I am the wind that wavers,

You are the certain land;

I am the shadow that passes

Over the sand.

1

I am the leaf that quivers,

You, the unshaken tree;

You are the stars that are steadfast,

I am the sea.

1

You are the light eternal--

Like a torch I shall die.

You are the surge of deep music,

I -- but a cry!

Title:

The title of this poem is "I Am the Wind" Wind is nature that we can feel it when we are outside. Wind can go anywhere. Maybe poet want freedom or maybe want to be part of the nature.

Paraphrase:

I am the wind that shake, while you are the firm land. I am the shadow that goes through the sand. I am the leaf that shivers and you are the tree that does not shiver. You are a firm star and I am the moving sea. You are eternal light while I shall die like a torch. You are the deep surge of music and I cry.

Connotation:

Rhythm: "I am the ..." "You are the ..." These two phrases keep repeating and makes rhythm. Why? By repeating these phrases I can clearly see the difference between "I" and "You". Simile: Like a torch I shall die. Metaphor: "I am the wind...", "You are the certain land...", "I am the shadow...", "I am the leaf...", "You, the unshaken tree...", "You are the stars...", " I am the sea.", "You are the light ...", " You are the surge of deep music" This poet used metaphor in most of the lines. Why? Instead of saying it directly, it gives reader to think about what "I" or "You" would be. There are lots of possibilities being other things instead of directly saying what "I" or "You" is . Symbol: "I" represents the human while "You" represents the nature.

Attitude: Very weak

Shifts:

The shift happens in 7th line. From 7th line, instead of comparing from "I" to "You", poet compares "You" to "I". It gives slightly different mood to the reader.

Title:

"I Am the Wind" The meaning of title was totally different from what I have predicted in the beginning. Human is described as a wind, because human is never settled like wind.

Theme:

Even though we try to conquer the nature and even though this process is called the civilization, we, human are just weak creatures. We waver, quiver, move, and frustrate, but try it again, and again. And stand up for ourselves with hope, but there is barrier of power that we can not go through. We, human do not know the power of nature and we resist with no fear. The message of this poem would be instead of controlling over the nature, we should live along with the nature. Nature is mighty and we, human only exist inside the nature.
